What we collect and why

Plain language, no boilerplate. This describes what the two forms on this site actually do.

TKTK — pending attorney review — the disclosure below is accurate to what the forms collect, but it has not been reviewed by counsel

If you apply as an officer

We collect what the form asks for:

  • Your name, and your rank if you give it.
  • Your agency.
  • Your TCOLE PID.
  • Your phone number and email address.
  • Your answers about extra-employment approval, and your availability if you give it.

We use it to verify that you are a licensed Texas peace officer in good standing, and to contact you about assignments. When you take an assignment, we give that client your name and agency so they can confirm who is on their site and pay you directly.

We do not ask for and do not store your Social Security number, a W-9, bank details, criminal history records, or your home address.

If you request coverage as a client

We collect what the form asks for:

  • Your company name, your name, your phone number, and your email address.
  • The site county, the site address, the dates and times you need covered, and how many officers.
  • The site or organization type, and what you need officers to do.
  • How you need officers to present, and whether you need a marked patrol unit.
  • How you heard about us, if you tell us.

We use it to work out whether we can cover the assignment, to coordinate the officers who do, and to invoice our coordination fee. Officers assigned to your site are told the site details they need in order to work it.

We treat a site address together with dates and times as sensitive information, because together they describe a location and a known coverage window. It is not published anywhere on this site, is never put in a URL, and is not shared outside the officers coordinated to that assignment.

Who else sees it

Nobody, other than the people described above and the service providers that host this site and its database. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising.

The companies that run this site for us are Vercel, which hosts it; Supabase, which stores what you submit; Resend, which delivers the notification telling us a submission arrived; Google Workspace, which runs our mailboxes; and Cloudflare, which manages the domain. Each can technically reach what passes through its own systems. None is permitted to use it for anything but providing that service, and none is given it for advertising.

Stopping the forms being abused

When you submit a form we record a one-way scrambled version of your network address so we can tell whether the same source is submitting over and over. We do not store the address itself, and what we keep cannot be turned back into it. Those records delete themselves within an hour. We do not use them for anything else, and there is no tracking pixel, advertising cookie, or analytics script on this site.

How long we keep it

TKTK — retention period — decide with counsel, then state it plainly here

Asking us to delete it

Email and ask. We will confirm what we hold and delete it, except where we have to keep a record of a completed assignment.
